JCB is one of the most widely used plant brands on UK construction sites — the 3CX backhoe and JS220 excavator are among the most common machines in the country. JCB uses its own EcoMax and JCB DieselMax engines across the plant range, alongside Isuzu and Cummins in some models.
JCB machines respond well to ECU remapping. The EcoMax engine — used in the Loadall telehandler range, JS excavators, and 3CX/4CX backhoes — is a particular strong performer when remapped, with consistent gains in low-end torque and fuel efficiency.
We work from our Pontypool workshop or attend on-site across the UK, covering the full JCB plant range.

Yes — JCB EcoMax 4.4, 4.8, 6.6, and 7.2 engines are all within our capability. The EcoMax engine is used across the Loadall, 3CX, 4CX, JS excavator, and Fastrac ranges and responds well to ECU remapping.
Do you remap JCB 3CX backhoe loaders?
Yes — the 3CX and 4CX are among the most commonly remapped JCB plant on UK construction sites. The JCB EcoMax 4.4 engine in the 3CX produces consistent gains in both loader and backhoe performance.
Can I bring a JCB telehandler or 3CX to your workshop?
Yes — our Pontypool workshop handles JCB plant including telehandlers and backhoes. For machines on active sites, we attend on-site across the UK.
Do you cover JCB Fastrac tractors as well as plant?
Yes — JCB Fastrac tractors use JCB EcoMax engines and are within our capability. The Fastrac is remapped the same way as other JCB EcoMax plant machinery.
Can you fix JCB Adblue faults at the same visit?
Yes. JCB Tier 4 and Stage V Adblue (SCR) faults are common on machines over 4 years old and can be addressed at the same site or workshop visit.
