Terms of Service

1. Services

Remap Centre provides ECU remapping, engine tuning, and related software modification services for vehicles and machinery. All services are performed by trained technicians using professional equipment.

2. Pricing and Payment

Prices quoted are for the specific service and vehicle discussed. Payment is due upon completion of the service. We accept bank transfer and cash. Pricing may vary depending on vehicle make, model, and the complexity of the work required.

3. Diagnostics and Pre-Remap Checks

Every vehicle undergoes a diagnostic health check before any remapping work begins. If we identify any issues that could affect the safety or effectiveness of the remap, we will inform you before proceeding. We reserve the right to decline a remap if the vehicle is not in suitable condition.

4. Software Warranty

All remaps come with a lifetime software warranty. If the remap file is lost or overwritten (e.g., by a dealer software update), we will reinstall it for a £100 fee. This warranty covers the software only and does not cover mechanical or electrical faults.

5. Vehicle Warranty

ECU remapping may affect your manufacturer's warranty. It is your responsibility to check with your dealer or warranty provider before proceeding. Remap Centre is not responsible for any warranty claims affected by remapping work.

6. Road Legality and Restricted Services

Some services are restricted to specific uses or vehicle types, and it is your responsibility to confirm that your vehicle and its intended use qualify.

Emissions services - including DPF removal, Adblue (DEF/SCR) delete, and EGR delete - are supplied for off-road and export vehicles only. It is illegal to use a vehicle on public roads in the UK with these systems removed or deactivated, a vehicle with a missing or deactivated DPF will fail its MOT, and the same restrictions apply to HGVs and other commercial vehicles in the UK and EU.

Speed limiter removal is offered only for vehicles where a speed limiter is not legally mandated - for example vans and light commercials below 3.5 tonnes. Vehicles legally required to retain a speed limiter on public roads, including most HGVs, are outside the scope of this service.

By requesting any service we identify as restricted - whether for off-road or export use only, or limited to particular vehicle classes - you confirm that your vehicle and its intended use comply with the relevant restriction, and you accept full responsibility for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

7. Liability

Remap Centre takes all reasonable care when performing work on your vehicle. However, we accept no liability for pre-existing faults, mechanical failures unrelated to our work, or any consequential losses arising from the use of a remapped vehicle. Our total liability is limited to the cost of the service provided.

8. Cancellation

If you wish to cancel a booking, please give us at least 24 hours notice. For mobile bookings, cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a call-out fee.

9. Data and Privacy

We collect your name, contact details, and vehicle information solely for the purpose of providing our services. We do not share your data with third parties. Vehicle ECU data is backed up securely and retained for the lifetime of the software warranty.
