Diesel Forklift ECU Tuning
Diesel forklifts are high-utilisation machines — running all shift in warehouses, distribution centres, and yard operations. The factory ECU calibration is conservative for the same reasons as all diesel plant — global market compliance and durability protection.
A forklift remap improves hydraulic response for lift and tilt operations, throttle calibration for faster manoeuvring, and fuel efficiency across a full shift. On forklifts running two or three shifts per day, the fuel saving across a year is meaningful.
We work from our Pontypool workshop or attend on-site, covering diesel counterbalance forklifts across all capacities from 3-tonne to 25-tonne and above.
What's Included
- Workshop (Pontypool) or on-site service
- Full diagnostic assessment
- Custom ECU calibration for your forklift
- Post-remap verification
Benefits
Why Choose This Service
Better Hydraulic Response
Improved fuelling calibration means the lift and tilt hydraulics respond faster to operator commands — quicker load pick-up, faster mast response, and better control at height.
Fuel Savings on Multi-Shift Operations
Forklifts running two or three shifts per day have high annual fuel costs. An 8–10% efficiency gain across multiple shifts adds up to a meaningful annual saving per machine.
Better Manoeuvrability
Improved throttle response makes the forklift more responsive at slow speed — better control in tight warehouse aisles, more precise load placement, and smoother acceleration from a standing start.
DPF Solutions
Diesel forklifts operating indoors at low throttle are particularly prone to DPF blockage from incomplete regeneration. We address DPF faults at the same visit.

Common Questions
Do you remap Toyota diesel forklifts?
Yes — Toyota 7FDA25, 7FD30, 7FD35, 8FD15–8FD80 series with Toyota and Mitsubishi diesel engines are within scope.
Can I bring my forklift to your workshop?
Yes — smaller forklifts can be driven or transported to our Pontypool workshop. We also attend on-site for forklifts that are more practical to remap in place.
Will the remap affect the forklift's stability system or rated capacity?
No. The remap calibrates the engine ECU only. Rated capacity, load sensing, and stability systems are not affected.
Do you remap large counterbalance forklifts over 10 tonnes?
Yes — large counterbalance forklifts up to 25 tonnes and above are within our capability. Tell us the make, model, and capacity when you enquire.
How long does a forklift remap take?
1.5–2.5 hours at the workshop or on site. We schedule to fit around shift patterns to minimise operational disruption.
