Compactor & Roller ECU Tuning
Compactors and rollers are often overlooked for ECU remapping — but they run diesel engines with the same conservative factory calibration as any other plant machinery. A roller working continuous passes on a road or earthworks project is burning serious diesel, and even a moderate fuel saving adds up over a long contract.
A compactor remap improves engine response under the load of the vibration system, smooths power delivery during direction changes, and improves fuel efficiency across continuous compaction passes. We cover soil compactors, single and tandem drum asphalt rollers, trench compactors, and pneumatic tyre rollers.

Benefits
Why Choose This Service
Better Engine Response
Improved fuelling calibration means the engine responds better under the load of the vibration system — less hunting at operating speed, more consistent power delivery during compaction passes.
Fuel Savings on Long Contracts
A roller working all day on a road project burns significant diesel. Fuel savings of 8–12% across the working season reduce contract fuel costs measurably.
Smoother Direction Changes
Better throttle calibration reduces the jerkiness on direction reversal — compaction pattern is more consistent and operator fatigue is reduced on long shift work.
DPF and Emissions Solutions
Compactors operating at low speed for extended periods are prone to DPF issues from incomplete regeneration. We address DPF faults at the same site visit.

Common Questions
Do you remap both soil compactors and asphalt rollers?
Yes — single drum soil compactors, tandem drum asphalt rollers, pneumatic tyre rollers, and combination rollers. The engine ECU is remapped regardless of the compaction system type.
Why are compactors prone to DPF problems?
Compactors often run at low throttle for extended periods during compaction passes, which prevents the DPF from reaching the temperature required for active regeneration. We can address DPF blockage at the same visit.
Will the remap affect the vibration system?
No. The remap calibrates the engine ECU only — it does not affect the vibration control system, drum frequency, or amplitude settings.
How long does a compactor remap take on site?
1.5–3 hours depending on the machine size and any emissions issues to address.
Do you cover trench rollers and remote-controlled compactors?
Yes — remote-controlled trench rollers and pedestrian-operated plate compactors with diesel engines are within scope. Tell us the specific model when you enquire.
