What the remap changes in a CVT tractor
More torque at the working RPM range: CVT tractors spend most of their field working time at a consistent engine speed — typically 1,400–1,600 RPM for most field operations. A remap that increases torque at this specific operating point directly improves the efficiency of the CVT system at the most common working condition.
Better throttle response: Improved calibration means the engine responds more crisply to the CVT's demand for torque changes — smoother power delivery through the transmission during load changes.
